Medstation Express ® Guía del Usuario

The CD contains one or more studies in DICOMDIR mode (a international standard format for medical images) and the MedStation® Express program used to view them. To view the studies:

  • Insert the CD in the CD-Rom drive of the PC.
  • After a while either an HTML summary page will appear (Figure 1) showing the contents of the CD, including icons representing the images which can be selected to open the reports related to each study, or the viewer program wil start MedStation® Express automatically (Figure 2).
Note: If your system is not set to run the program automatically, double-click "My Computer" on your descktop, right click on the CD-Rom drive icon and select the "AutoPlay" item. If "AutoPlay" is not available, double-click the CD-Rom drive icon and double click the "index.htm" file, else if not present, file "Express.exe" into folder "Express\bin".

  • If only one study is available on the CD: MedStation® Express will automatically load and show the study.
  • If more than one study is on the CD: click on the Open button indicated by arrow 2 in Figure 2, select the study you wish to view and click on the Open button in the lower right corner of the new window.

    • A list of studies available on the CD is shown in the left panel indicated by arrow 1 in Figure 2. Passing the mouse over the items in this list will show the study details in the lower panel; dragging the item (holding the left button on the item while moving it) in an empty area of the viewing pane on the right will show the study images.

  • To browse and view all the images of the study use the mouse wheel (if available) or the arrow buttons or the scroll-br in the viewing panel.
  • To read the reports related to the studies currently under analysis, click on the Report button indicated by arrow 3 in Figure 2 and choose the appropriate report from the list shown.

  • If the study is splitted into more than a CD, when accessing an image saved into a different CD than the CD inserted into CD-ROM driver, MedStation® Express print a message with the source cd number (Figure 3). To load images you should insert requider CD into CD-ROM driver ad wait few seconds, MedStation® Express will automatically update images.
